What's New » Interviews » Boys From 13 - INDONESIA - BAND

1. What is your favourite album of all time?
Our favorite album of all times is "From whom the rock rolls" by Totalfat, it is an amazing album, which we get inspiration from.

2. What are the most important ingredients in a good song, and please explain why you think so?
I think the most important ingredient in a good song is "soul" because without "soul" the music feels bitter. Even if the music arrangement is good without "soul" it will be less "attractive"

3. Is songwriting a process where you sit down and think about what to write or does it come to you as a moment of inspiration?
It comes to us more as a moment of inspiration, sometimes while on the streets, playing music, or when we are sleeping, we could just get inspiration or theme of a song. Sometimes it is like a passing moment in our heads, and one of us would yell "Hey, let's make a song with a theme like this."

4. Do you tend to gravitate towards any particular subject/theme, or are your lyrics mostly random thoughts?
Certainly we think of a theme first for all the songs, we do a lot of research and collect a lot of material, musical arrangements surrounding the theme of the song. This is because a song that is made ragged or with with irregular would reduce the quality of the song

5. What music are you into at the moment ... and why do you like it?
We like the melodic pop punk, that genre suits our band very well. It is not just pop punk or melodic music, but is a combination of both. It is more varied and lively. It also allows listeners to immerse themselves in the reality of the songs, so we like it.
